I have opened an account what is my user Id and password?
On opening a BETSTAR account either online or via the telephone an unique User ID will automatically be generated. This User ID must be quoted when placing your wagers over the telephone or making enquiries regarding your account. For added security you may also choose to quote your password when placing wagers over the telephone. To place bets over the internet you must logon using your User ID and password. How do I make a withdrawal from my BETSTAR account?
Clients can withdraw funds from their Betstar account into their nominated bank account or receive payment by Cheque. Does BETSTAR require me to provide identification?
Federal legislation requires all clients to provide photo identification within 90 days of opening their account or at the time of their first withdrawal, whichever is the sooner. In addition a copy of a credit card (where used to fund your account) must also be provided prior to withdrawing funds from your betting account. Please refer to our Banking section for further information on BETSTAR's identification requirements. Where the account holder resides outside of Australia, they will be required to fulfill ID requirements prior to their account being activated.

What happens if I back a horse and it is scratched?
If you have backed it for a win, place or eachway prior to acceptance time, your bet is lost. If the bet was placed after final acceptance time your bet will be refunded but deductions may be applied to remaining live bets. If you have backed a scratching in a double, your money is lost, if the bet was placed prior to both legs being at final acceptance stage. If both legs of the bet were placed after final acceptance stage, your stake will be put on the remaining live leg, but deductions may be applied.
What is Line Betting?
A method used by bookmakers to make a one sided event become a more attractive betting proposition, also known as a handicap. Each team has points or runs added or subtracted from their score, to determine if the bet is a winner.
What is a Multi-Bet?
A multi-bet contains a minimum of two legs (selections) and the respective odds of each leg are multiplied to calculate the combined payout. Multi-bets can be placed within or across various sports and are a great way to boost your returns!
How do I place a Multi-Bet?
Simply click on the price of your first selection, then navigate the menu to choose an additional event and again click on the price. A bet slip will appear with a dividend based on the two prices multiplied. You can click on further selections to further boost your return.
The next step is to enter the stake you wish to wager on your Multi-Bet and press ‘Confirm Bets’ to place the bet.
Why are Multi-Bets not always available?
Multi-Bets are not accepted where the outcome of one part of the bet contributes to the outcome of another, also known as competitor dependency. If such bets are inadvertently accepted, BETSTAR reserves the right to void such bets.
